1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb and find a quote from each movie.
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Fill in the film title once it's guessed.
5. NO GOOGLING / using IMDb search functions. Totally cheating, you dirty cheaters.
1. They're coming to get you, Barbara, there's one of them now!
halloweenboy you are correct! *Night of the Living Dead*
2. Plans are pointless. Staying alive is as good as it gets.
almond_tiger you are correct! I'm really surprised nobody picked this one up earler :) *28 days later*
3. I kick arse for the Lord!
intrepid_glory you are correct. I'm actually surprised somebody other than
grendel_girl or Jamers got this one. *Dead Alive*
4. The seven deadly sins. Who can name the seven deadly sins? People! It was a very popular film with Brad Pitt, you have the ultimate cliff note.
***No this is not from "Meet Joe Black", but thank you for playing, please try again!***
5. Out of order? FUCK! Even in the future, nothing works!
khinderer your brain is correct! *Spaceballs*
6. He sang the strangest songs to me, by bands I had never heard of: Boston, Kansas, America, Europe, Asia. Travel exhausts me.
7. Go ahead and sleep on the power couch. Your training begins tomorrow, at the crack of noon.
manicgiraffe you are correct!*Pick of Destiny*
8. Kid, listen to it in high-fidelity, stereophonic sound: surfing's a man's domain. No minnows in the shark tank.
9. When a guy picks a chick over his buddies, something's gotta be wrong. Come on, guys let's go for some pizza.
manicgiraffe you are correct, and Holy Crap nobody got this one earlier!*Grease*
10. In a way, each of us has an El Guapo to face. For some, shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big, dangerous man who wants to kill us. But as sure as my name is Lucky Day, the people of Santa Poco can conquer their own personal El Guapo, who also happens to be *the actual* El Guapo!
halloweenboy you got this one too. I don't think it is too hard if you've actually seen the movie.*Three Amigos*
11. As you can see, the psuedo-facade was stripped away to reveal a minimalist rococo design. Note the unusual inversely vaulted ceilings. This is yet another example of the late neoclassic Baroque period. And, as I always say, "if it's not Baroque, don't fix it!"
khinderer your brain works extra well. I had to slip one from my fav movie, but boy was it hard since almost every quoteable refers to Belle or the Beast or a song.*Beauty and the Beast*
12. Nice work, Bone Daddy!
halloweenboy you are correct. Somehow I'm not surprised :)*Nightmare before Christmas*
13. She's so deliciously low. So horribly dirty.
14. I'm very drunk and I intend on getting still drunker before this evening's over.
laughing_dreams you are correct! I'm half surprised nobdy picked up on this earlier either, cause dude, GWTW is one of my favs. *Gone with the wind*
15. Shall quips and sentences and these paper bullets of the brain awe a man from the career of his humor? No. The world must be peopled.

1) Do you like your birth-name? Why?
I never really thought about it, but I guess so. It isn't too common, is easy to spell and pretty short.
2) If you could change your name to anything else, what would it be?
I like the name my parents were originally going to give me, Tassajarah.
3) What names would you consider giving your children?
It has already been decided, #1 will be either Alexander or Alexandra, depending of course. I also like Kira for a girl's name.
4) If you had a band, what would you name it, and why?
The Profound Statements. Back in High School my group of friends and I went camping. That was the name we came up with over that weekend for our band, which was all in our heads of course.
5) Is there a name that you completely hate? Why?
Although I do hate certain people, it isn't their names that are bad. I do however have a slight distaste for names like Miffy or Barbie. Those really "girly" names that are obnoxious beyond all reason.

Each player of this game starts with the "6 weird habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a blog of their 6 weird habits/things, as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose 6 people to be tagged and list their names.
I like to scratch my head. I often sit on the couch or here at my desk and just run my fingernails across my head over and over. It isn't that it itches, I just love the feel of it. I'm just glad I don't have dandruff.
I often find myself hating things just because they are too popular. Not everything mind you, but usually bands or people. I guess it is a way I try to keep my individualality, by refusing to conform.
When I was a kid, I almost drowned at swim lessons, which I had forgotten about until high school or so. As a result, I absosmurfly hated swimming in pools most of my youth. However, I loved to swim in the ocean and I would often go out pretty far. I had no fear of the ocean (until I saw Jaws), but I had this horrible fear of pools. When I finally remembered what had happened, I slowly began overcoming my fear of swimming pools.
I still love to color to this day . . .like as in color with cranyons. I hate things all black and white. I want to color the world. I especially love things that are gradiated (is that the right word Jamers?)
Sometimes when I can't sleep I lie perfectly still and visualize the energy draining out of my body. I start with my feet, and than my ankles, working the way up the body. The weird thing is I can actually feel my energy leaving and my body relaxing. I usually fall asleep before I get to my shoulders.
I believe in Pickle Jesus.
I would tag peeps, but I don't think I can pick anybody who wasn't already tagged that would play. Play if you would like, cause I do enjoy reading these.

1) You see this neat meme on LJ and ask the person who posted it to assign you a letter.
2) You write down 10 words that start with your assigned letter.
3) Then you write a sentence or two about what each word means to you.
4) Post it in your journal with these rules, and assign people random letters as they ask for them.
halloweenboy choose letter "J" for me.
1) Joy - My middle name, isn't that sweet? I don't use the word in my daily verbage because of that fact. I don't usually let people know it is my middle name either. Now feel special my beloved lj friends.
2) Jealousy - Something I feel far too often. I'm one of the most insecure people and I'm constantly jealous of other people for stupid reasons.
3) Jack's - One of the best places to get a burger and fries. I'm really gonna miss walking down there and sitting outside in the sun on a Saturday afternoon.
4) Job - I love the one I've got. I'm a person who needs to work and being that I have not obtained a new one as of yet, I starting to feel a sense of emptiness, isn't that sad?
5) July - The birth month of both my parents, technically our country, Anthony my ex-boyfriend, my cousin Kayla, and a gaggle of other people. Not to mention the month of SUN SUN SUN, oh and fog. In any case I think this month is pretty awesome.
6) Jerry Rice - The best fricken football player ever. He had the skills, he had the drive, and most importantly he had the heart. I consider myself lucky to have been able to watch him back in his 9er days when he smoked the competition.
7) Johnny Deep - Yummy! One of the most under rated actors out there. He has such a broad range in his acting ablities something I feel that too many actors nowadays just don't have. Plus he is super, super hot!
8) Janis Joplin - I grew up listening to her on vinyl. I still remember pulling the record down off the shelf and her pic on the cover. She was wearing a boa and bellbottoms and just all funked out. I thought hey this lady is cool. I rediscovered her music a couple of years ago and fell in love with it. I've always loved Mercedes Benz - just her voice, simple lyrics, but so much meaning.
9) Jacqueline Carey - The author of a set of books
chonnies turned me onto. A great mix of politics, sex (although nothing too grahic), pirates, gods well, just about anything fantasy really. Follows a character similar to Inra in Firefly, except this character is entertaining and you care what happens to her. I fell in love half way through the first book and I can't wait to get to Portland so I can unpack and read the third one.
10) Jamers - Last but most definitely not least. He is, as my mom has put it, the calming side of me. We are Yin and Yang in most areas, but those differences are what draw us together. We balance each other out in so many ways and he will have my heart until the end of time.
Hey maybe later I'll have a real post - just in case somebody out there reads it ;)

Information
Unhappiness in relationships, according to Dr. Gary Chapman, is often due to the fact that we speak different love languages. Sometimes we don't understand our partner's requirements, or even our own. We all have a "love tank" that needs to be filled in order for us to express love to others, but there are different means by which our tank can be filled, and there are different ways that we can express love to others.Take the quiz

Four jobs I've had:
1. My first job when I was 13, at Hot Dog on a Stick at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Not part of the chain eateries, so it could've been worse. They had two "restaurants", the other being Chicken in a Basket. I mainly worked at Chicken, where I quickly learned how to handle money, stab corns of ears onto sharp sticks (when you missed the stick, pain ensued), and deep fry chicken. The flouring bin was attached to the wall and the wall was metal about four feet or so up(easier to clean flour off it). I used to take my hand, flour it up, make a fist, turn it sideways, and stamp it up the wall. Then I would take my finger put 5 little "toes" on top the side of my hand, and make it look like a little baby had walked through the flour and up the wall. It was a fun first job.
2. I worked for the Games Dept at the SC Beach Boardwalk. A very boring job where I handled money and lots of customer complaints. I worked there from 16 until I was in college around 19 or so.
3. I worked at Heald, while I was in school, reconciling the CalGrant ledger to the payments. It was boring and tedious, but I made some money and I felt pretty good about doing accounting for the school I was learning accounting from. Nobody else was choosen, just the Pickle.
4. My first accounting job, after I graduated from Heald, was at the electrical subcontractor. They had three seperate companies and during my 3 years there, I did all the functions of accounting. I got to run the office, do all the union, workers comp, tax, 401k reporting, payroll, A/P, A/R, bank reconciliations, and assist the controller with financial statements. I had a jolly time, until the company went belly up.
Four movies I like watching:
1. My favorite of course, Beauty and the Beast, disney's version. I love that Belle is a strong independant intelligent woman who defies doing what everyone else wants and does her own thing. She is a truely unique disney chick, plus she looks like me, just skinny.
2. Gone with the Wind - How could you not love Scarlet? She is a hard nosed twit that learns about life the hard way when everything she knows is taken away from her and she does what she has to to get by. I love the costumes, I love the story, I love that there isn't a happy ending.
3. Anything with Johnny Depp or Sean Connery
4. My Fair Lady - The movie is a great one, and I can sing along (when nobody else is here to hear), I love the story the drama, the costumes, and who wouldn't love to go from rags to riches and be treated as a princess?
*I'm adding my 4 favorite TVD's (TV shows on DVD) to this list because they aren't movies, but I love them just as much
1. Fruits Basket - Anime that isn't like normal anime, which is why I can watch it. Toru is such a naive trusting, loving character that you can't help but fall into her story. Plus, people that turn into the animals of the Zodiac, how cool (and tragic) is that?
2. Family Guy - I f'in love it! It is the King of Non-Sequitors! Every show making fun of everything else, movies, tv, pop culture, with and edgieness and daring that The Simpsons never pulled off. Stewie is the best TV baby ever!
3. Buffy - Do I really need to get into this one? Spike, yummy. Willow, kick ass witch who I would love to be. So smart and emotional. Xander the everyday guy, and then there is Buffy. She was my least favorite character on the show, but I love the dynamic of her having to balance her everyday teenage girl problems (hard enough even when you aren't the choosen one) and her destiny. Monsters, outrageous plots, sometimes stupid plots, comedy, action, drama - Buffy had it all.
4. Last but not least, Firefly! Oh my goddess, could I ever get sick of Firefly? Well Serenity's last 10 or 15 minutes I can do without, but the rest of the show I can watch over and over again. I know I don't need to explain this one.
Four Places I've lived:
1. With mom dad and sister
2. With my granny (Oh how I miss her)
3. With Stefani - the only time I've ever had a roomate. I learned a valuable lesson, that living with a close friend, is probably not a good idea. It allows for those normal boundries between roomates to be crossed without much thought.
4. Here in granny's apartment with: myself, Aaron the ex-husband, Erin my friend stayed here when she needed a place to crash, my cousin Mikey when he got kicked out of his parent's house the first time, Anthony - well he technically lived at granny's house but we were either here or there, James twice now. The first time we were together, although he did have his own place, he was always here. And of course, now that we are married.
*As a sid note, all of these places have been in SC.
Four TV shows I like:
1. Cold Case Files - anything forensic totally rocks.
2. Ghost Hunters - I love that they are their own worst critics. The show is sooooo fricken awesome!
3. The Simpsons - Always entertaining and good for a laugh.
4. Project Runway - and I can't figure out why I like this show. I can't even figure out why I'm admitting to it. I guess admitting you have a problem is the first step.
Four places I’ve vacationed
1. New York City - with my cousin Jeff as his chaparone for his 15th birthday. My uncle paid for the whole trip. It was fun, but there was a lot I didn't get to do because he was so young. I hated Phantom (I read the book and hate that Eric is such a loveable character in the musical) but I loved Miss Saigon. That perhaps wasn't the best musical to see with my 15 year old cousin, but it was wonderful.
2. Orlando - Disney world to be exact with my old gaming group and husband. We went all over DW - and had a ball. I want to go back and spend more time because there was just so much to do and not enough time.
3. New Orleans - I've been there twice! I regret that even though I've been there twice, I still never did all that I wanted to there. So much history and things to see. What was the one big thing I never got to really do? Go and visit the cementaries - pooplins.
4. Portland - our future home. Twas a nice visit with the
noss and
manicgiraffe but we were there for such a short period of time. I'm really looking forward to moving there and seeing all it has to offer.
Four dishes I like eating:
1. French fries - anytime, anyplace
2. Bacon - um. . . . . .bacon.
3. Any potato product that is fried.
4. Spinach, beets, garlic.
Four sites I like visiting
1. Livejournal - at work somedays that is the best I can do for human interaction
2. Realtor.com - I love looking at houses
3. Yahoo games - Crosswords, Bookworm, of Text Twist, I love word play
4. My email - I love getting emails, what can I say
Now I must tag four of you, but who? I'm gonna go with
xinejacquette (hey you've got the free time now, right?),
angille - I'll always pick my sweetie,
intrepid_glory - Lish, you never post!, and for my fourth and final your it, hows bout my newest lj friend,
tragicrabbit - not sure if you do these or not, but it would be a quick way to learn a few more things about you.

Twas a nice visit with the
Four dishes I like eating:
1. French fries - anytime, anyplace
2. Bacon - um. . . . . .bacon.
3. Any potato product that is fried.
4. Spinach, beets, garlic.
Four sites I like visiting
1. Livejournal - at work somedays that is the best I can do for human interaction
2. Realtor.com - I love looking at houses
3. Yahoo games - Crosswords, Bookworm, of Text Twist, I love word play
4. My email - I love getting emails, what can I say
