And then

I didn't clean. We had . . .a nice afternoon without cleaning instead. Then we walked down to Longs and TJs. In front of Longs there was this adorable rottie on a leash who didn't appear to belong to anyone. As we rounded the corner there was a guy, who looked pretty down on his luck. I asked him if the dog belonged to him, but he just stared at me. Then he said, "He's hungry.(in ref to the dog) He wants some dog food." I said okay. As we were walking through Longs I started heading over to the pet food aisle. James seemed surprised that I was actually going to buy the guy some dog food. I said, hey, if it isn't for the dog, and he wants dog food, who am I to argue? I wasn't given the dude money, so I didn't have a problem. I picked out three cans of dog food with pop tops (I assume he has no can opener) they were only .89/each.

I purchased the cans and when we got outside he was at the bus stop talking to some girl. I handed him the bag of dog food and he was sooo happy. He thanked me and James and I went into TJs. I really should've bought the guy something to eat too, but I didn't think of it at the time. Now I feel a little sad about that. However, this being the Bleeding Heart Capital of the World, I'm sure he can find somebody to buy him something to eat. But in any case, his doggie won't go hungry and that puts a big smile on my face and a little tear in my eye. That I could help somebody feed their pet when they couldn't is just awesome to me.

Anyhow so now Mr. James is making dinner and I'm having belly grumbles. The childerchits want to go outside, but I want to crash my big heinie down on the couch and pop in a movie.

Toodles all! I hope you all have some nice pleasant evening. Whether it be painting, playing games, cliff diving or whatever.
