Down with the sickness

  • Jan. 26th, 2009 at 7:52 PM
Sick - I has it! I was originally going to post about how miserable I'm feeling. I blame one of my PMs who hasn't been feeling well lately, went home early on Friday and called in this morning with either laryngitis or strep (he was going to the dr later this morning). Coincidentally, my general icky feelings as of late that included a cough today turned into sore throat and stuffy nose. I've been drinking pom tea with honey and lemon to help but it doesn't help much.

I've been so healthy through this whole baby thing. If I get sick now I just may kill my PM - or make him feel real guilty - I haven't decided which yet.

In other news, my husband is fricken awesome! He just came up with a new character that I told him he needs to "characterize" on lj - the Gay Gangster. The jokes pretty much write themselves. For example, he just threw down the gang sign by putting his two fore-fingers and his two thumbs together to make an upside down triangle. I was cracking up. I guess that would be reason number 14 why I love my [info]angille - he comes up with the weirdest stuff!

Did I ever mention Mackrel Jackson?

I've been sick!

For the last two days, pooplins!

Recap since I haven't posted in awhile:

Sat we had the yard sale and it went super well. Sold lots of crap which is easy when you sell almost everything for 25 cents. We made about $50, which we promptly went out to dinner with.

Sunday we slept in had a late breakfast, went grocery shopping and came home. James did James things and I packed. I cleaned a little when he made dinner and we watched Star Trek movies.

Last week is pretty much a blur. Work was extremely busy and we were busy every evening with people.

Monday/Tuesday I spent sleeping and not doing much. That bring us to today. Work, well, I'm behind a little but I anticipate being caught up by the end of the day.

That is all. How are all of you? I haven't the time to catch up, still, on lj friends. I haven't really read since, well, early last week? If anything dire or tres important came up, let me know, k?

Tidbits

1) I'm not well today. I scrapped myself up and came in anyway. I have things that must be done. I'm still debating wether I'll call Jamers to pick me up early or not. My stomache is starting to grumble, but I haven't been able to even think of food. On top of that, everytime I talk or listen, my head throbs.

2) One of our subcontractors was in the office this morning. Apparently, his father thinks he is the Lindenberg baby. Normally I would just nod and smile and laugh when he left. However, he produced two seperate magazines that ran articles about it. I guess there is some sort of chance that his dad is the Lindenberg baby, weird.

3) Oddly enough, I do feel like eating a teryaki marinated Londond Broil, med-rare. With a side of steamed broccoli and other veggies. I have no idea where this craving came from. But the thought of warm, yummy, med rare meat right now sounds like heaven.

4) Bazel is my bestest baby lovelins. I was just mellowing on the couch this morning in a daze and he turned around, saw me, meowed (as he does whenever he changes elevation) as he jumped down from his window perch and climbed up into my lap. Then he did the dog walking in circles for a few laps, laid down and started to purr. I can't even begin to explain how he knows when I really need that. He has pulled me through so many dark times. We have such a great bond that sometimes I wonder if in a past life he really was my baby.

I should go now and figure out how to do this thing without Christine here today. I'm getting into the mind set of go home and worry about it later, that isn't very professional of me, but I can't help it.

Toodles all
